Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Region: Arusha Office – Tanzania

Job role
The Accounts Assistant will ensure that the finance tasks are executed on a timely basis. Accuracy of the reports submitted are key with regards to various administrative tasks within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure that all the services offered are invoiced promptly and accurately.
- To ensure that all the receipts are promptly and accurately posted to client account.
- To ensure that all the client account are accurately allocated as per the remittance advice provided by the client.
- Ensure all the receipts are posted and correctly/completely allocated
- Petty cash management and ensure reports relating to petty cash are prepared on daily basis.
- Management of the safe and ensuring all items in the safe are logged in and out.
- Review debtors’ listings regularly, investigate all balances and debt collection.
- Preparation of cash and banking report on daily basis.
- Daily cash reconciliation.
- Receipting all cash and cheques promptly.
- Ensure that the company has adequate accounts stationery and they are secure (receipts books, LPO books and cheque books are fully accounted for).
- Filing of statutory obligations (PAYE, SDL, VAT, NSSF, WCF,)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional Qualifications
Minimum CPA Part 2 required, accounting software proficiency, 2-3 years experience, good organizational skills, integrity, team player, self-driven, and Arusha-based candidates with prior experience preferred.
