FCm Travel Solutions – Kenya (trading as Charleston Travel Ltd) is seeking a Transport Coordinator to manage the day to day operations of the drivers and vehicles ensuring that the safety and wellbeing of clients is upheld, as well as compliance with company policies, state guidelines, corporate SLAs and the maintenance and care of company vehicles.
This is a position to be filled as soon as possible at the Head Office in Nairobi – Kenya
Main tasks will include :
- Prepare Transfer/Transport and circulate the schedule and allocate drivers in the schedule correctly; Contact the approved suppliers and arrange for vehicles to be made available as need arises;
- Prepare and submit weekly transfers’ reports;
- Ensure all sub contracted transfers are duly briefed before execution;
- Conduct customer care follow up with clients where applicable;
- Maintain daily log of vehicles’ conditions, clean up, milage, fuel consumption vs transfers, maintenance & inspection records and any other repairs requirements;
- Effective tracking of all vehicle locations at any given time and ensure vehicles are duly accounted for at all times;
- Requirements for the successful candidate
- Working in a similar position in a travel agency is an added advantage – working on a shift system
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience
- Should have impressive client management, decision making & problem-solving skills.
- Diploma/Certificate in a business-related course or other will be an added advantage;
- Be able to “think on their feet” and a good team player
